Re: Cod Trip,who's interested?
I'm heading up there in the morning just for the day. Looking forward to it! Whilst I'm guessing none of them have internet access there I wonder if they are doing any good? Hope the shrimp are still around and I no doubt will find out tomorrow!
As I don't drink I may be able to get some interesting pics but guess I will have to get 'clearance' from them to post the incriminating pics :D
thanks
Jim

Re: Cod Trip,who's interested?
I am leaving soon! Can't rush these things! Doing something I like (fishing) can be ruined by having to get out of bed early :D (I'm lazy) Besides, I only need an hour to 'bag out' on every possible fish species there!Boonanza wrote:Hey Jim what are you still doing online mate I thought you were going up there today?Rod Bender wrote:I'm heading up there in the morning just for the day. Re: Cod Trip, who's interested?
OK..so I didn't 'bag out' on anything! I think I would have been the only person not to catch a fish. I will leave most details for Drew to report but I can say the following:
Apparently Silver Perch are now known as 'cheese munching Piranhas' and there are fears for the continuation of the species as it is expected that these fish will eventually suffer from morbid obesity.
I can confirm a catch was photographed which extended beyond a 1.2 meter brag mat!
There were rumours circulating that a 84cm model Cod was captured. However, there is no photographic evidence. To protect the identity of the claimant we shall refer to him as 'Mod'. (and it wasn't me)
As they were staying another night 'Cheater' and Shayne were still chasing the elusive Murray Cod. Time will tell if they have success.
I had a great day regardless of it be fishless for me. Was great to meet everyone and I must say that when I left them at 11pm, they were happy campers :D :super: :haha2: :nicefish:

Re: Cod Trip,who's interested?
Sounds like everyone is having a great time. I wish I was there but unfortunately I couldn't make this trip, it's the first one I've missed since the fishvic days.
Cheers Steve

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
