Re: Surf rod recommendation
With the wind and weed being bad and especially when I have days off I have only used it once. But I loved it, cast a mile and feels solid in the hand but also pretty light. Well it is compared to the old glass fishing rod I had. Actually that rod caught 5 gummy’s when we went so was stoked

Just purchased a 9ft Penn prevail online myself to cast metal lures off the surf beach.
Hoping to get it before the weekend.

Re: Surf rod recommendation
Bought it off Ebay late sunday night, from a seller in sydney for $118..
Arrived today, it feels really good!
Now have to get a real and some braid for it... looking at a Penn Battle II 5000.
The same seller sells them quite cheap too with free fireline braid, but might go to BCF to see what they're like first, they are $120 there.
