Hampton Rock Groynes
Fished rock groynes at Hampton from 5pm to 9:30pm. For the first couple of hours it was almost unfishable because of the SW wind blowing up to 25 knots and waves coming over the rocks I was standing on :surrender: . The wind dropped down to 10 to 15 knots around 7:30pm and bites started and didn't stop until I used up all my baits. Kept 5 out of 14 pinkies to legal sizes and the biggest one was 35cm. One of the sensational sessions I have ever had! :a_goodjob:

Great session Hskim. They seem to be on fire down that way after dark at the moment.

Well done mate, I tried my luck with whithing last night, but didn't loose a single bait, what a waste of expensive pippies..Cuda wrote:Great session Hskim. They seem to be on fire down that way after dark at the moment.

Thanks guys!!! Just one advice I can give you based on my last session is that cala stood out over bule bait just before dark but it then changed after dark: pinkies didn't take on cala anymore but only on blue bait. Fished with 2 x 12ft rods and 1 x 1 8ft rods using 1/0 and 2/0 hooks and lost a couple of bigger ones while bringing them in perhaps due to the small hooks.

Is there heaps of snags there ? Or is it just fine ? I know you need abit of a reefy area, but is getting snagged highly possibly ?
