Cockatoo Hill Reservoir
G'day guys, has anyone here fished this reservoir between Raywood and Bendigo. I'm wondering if and what fish it holds, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Cockatoo Hill Reservoir
Headed over to visit some family yesterday and have a go at this resevoir. It was a shocking day, hot, windy as most of you would be aware of.
after tea we went up for a look at the res and throw a lure or two around but the wind had other ideas and our efforts were shot to sh*t,
While walking around the edge of the res we did notice a fair few turtles in the weedbeds but no fish, cheers davoIt's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish

Looks pretty shallow.
Maybe you're better off with a yabby net?

Re: Cockatoo Hill Reservoir
yes it was quite shallow but when I waded out there seemed to be deeper channels around in parts. It also seemed to have dropped close to 1mt of late. I've had 3 different reports of good reddies in there, cheers davo

We had a fish here today, caught a reddie on a lure and seen plenty of carp but didn't bring the appropriate bait to catch more, beautiful place!
