Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

I’m at the mirage stage, wasn’t actually on the chart shown on this tread. When I cross Dandenong Creek on the way home and look at it, it starts shimmering and I imagine I’m fishing the mouth of the Noosa river in my boardies and beer in the esky chasing Flathead or Whiting. It’s becoming a proble...

Re: Fishing tackle technology over the years.

I,ve read all the posts and identify with lots of comments on the old gear. My dad and his brothers used the same gear on the Murray as they did chasing Whiting and Flathead, that is, broom handle like rods with heavy gut line and centre pin reels. Dad always got results, I reckon these days he,d be...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

We'll probably lose more young people to suicide than we save in elderly or immune compromised people. I don'...

Re: When can Victorians expect to go fishing again?

I think people need to understand we aren't even halfway through this pandemic. We may well be able to ease some of our restrictions and get our internal economy back on the road soon. World wide it has hardly even got underway yet. The death figures of various countries is far from the truth, wait ...

Re: A message to Dan Andrews.

Well it was all hurriedly put together so no surprise that there are faults. Hardly conforms with the spirit of the no essential travel rules though.

Re: Guess the Lure

That’s impressive, I didn’t know trout would take metal lures like that. Would you still use one these days? Not with the rich choices we have today but I can safely say that they would catch trout if you dedicated a couple of sessions, really good for fast flowing deep water but also good in shall...
