Yeah when they pulled up I was thinking thats an epic boat for squidding.... took me awhile to realise they were fisheries.

Cheers Bugz... you have managed to capture the moment so vividly.Bugatti wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 12:28 amyepi'mon wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2019 11:35 amNot much to report but fished gentleman’s hours yesterday on the top end of Wp searching for calamari.
Launched from Yaringa at 1.00pm with no luck until about 3.00. Saw two humpback wales surface just of tyabb bank which was pretty cool.
Made a move Further down south and picked up a decent cala on a baited spike (old frozen yakka). Pretty happy with that as it’s the first time I’ve tried baited. Squid was full of eggs.
Fisheries came past and checked in on an unmarked bass straight boat. Was a little jealous of the vessel...
Moved up to the spit and managed a few just legal whiting (all went back) whilst the sun went down.
Nice relaxed day on the water, even without many fish. Fisheries guys said everyone was struggling.
Cheers
Great day out Yepi  , you had the reader jealous that we weren't out there with you , , , , well, me for sure.
They don't call it "Fishing AND Boating" for no reason , , , , it is being out there, irrelevant of the fish , , , , Whales on the other hand.
I have never been out and seen a Whale. I have been in awe of other Sea Creatures, but never a Whale. That truly would have been an amazing experience. They reckon they are majestic when seen in real life.
Now, not sure that they were a Humpbacks , , , , they look more like they came out of Disneyland
