Boat ramp fee
Re: Boat ramp fee
It gets better....... Altona was only letting you pay using a phone app which costs $1.35 booking fee each time as well. Have not had a chance to see if the Newport ramp is the same.

Re: Boat ramp fee
dont have to go as far as NSW, all ramps in gippsland are free..
its a lot shorter ride from gippy to PPB or WPB lolll
or just launch at limeburners which is also free

Re: Boat ramp fee
Hastings has this app as well (didn't realise it had a booking fee...but I'm not surprised)fitzy90 wrote:It gets better....... Altona was only letting you pay using a phone app which costs $1.35 booking fee each time as well. Have not had a chance to see if the Newport ramp is the same.

Re: Boat ramp fee
A little birdy told me you aren't actually paying to use the ramp, you are paying for parking your car there while you are out fishing.

Re: Boat ramp fee
I only use hastings and its pretty good value for money. mind you at a real low tide it can cause serious headaches. ive seen many trailers back off the end of the ramp and bugger the springs on the trailer.
fairly central to everything. only takes 40 minutes to get to cat bay.
