Interesting shadow in Gunners
I was watching the Gunnamatta surf cam around 1:50PM to 2:05PM today and something caught my attention - 2 big dark patches in the water. I thought it was just the sun's reflection on the rough water so I changed my screen's contrast. After watching the shadows for several minutes I was convinced it was not sun's reflection on the waves. The shadow merged and separated a few times on the same area. If it was a shadow of a cloud, the patches can't have a clear demarcation line in between them just a few meters apart. The fact that the shadows merged and separated a few times suggests it could be a big school of fish being chased by something causing them to separate and merge from time to time.
What are your thoughts? The last time I chanced upon something like this was 3 years ago in Gunners around December and it was 2 hours of chaos. I was foul hooking salmon on the tails, top of head and even by their ass.

Very interesting observation there Fish Cador. Hard to say what it is but my guess is a school of bait fish such as pilchard or small mullet.
