Re: Don Lake, Healesville
The lake is stocked just before school holidays.
During the holidays I believe lots of kids go out there and catch quite a few fish.
I have had similar experiences to everyone here where its difficult to have much luck except just after it has been stocked.

Re: Don Lake, Healesville
Is 'Devil Bend' the lake on the Mornington Peninsula? I have read articles about it in fishing magazines. A lot of preparation has gone into the lake. Has it officially been opened to fishing yet as all the articles I have read state that they are still waiting for an opening date! Unless of course it has opened in the last couple weeks.Jake420 wrote: devil bend is awsum fishing ther caught a few rainbows good size was hopping to get onto some browns thow :/ gunna head back soon for sure. sorry for the confusion - Jake mentioned devil elbow, not devils bend....although i am not sure where devil elbow is either.
Will have to await his advise on that.

Re: Don Lake, Healesville
why are you fishing Devilbend when it's not scheduled to open to the public until 8.30am on 17 November 2012?
