Re: Spincast Reels
I have to apologise. My previous post applied only to the push button model, not the triggerspin. I found the push button to be very effective in all my fishing situations and easy and trouble free for my learning kids.

Re: Freezing Marysville
Apparently we dont need fancy expensive lures to catch trout.
$20 rrp ecogear mx8 vs $5 ali express lure, and both got us fish.

Gunnamatta beach 8/6/19
Been a while since I did surf fishing. After reading some reports, I got motivated. Plus a mate wanted to try surf fishing. Went to gunnamatta beach for an afternoon session, few cars, few people fishing and surfing. Darn those surfers, some of the good spots occupied by them. Got there around 2:30p...

Re: A special request
Finished the Reels, and they do look like "normal" reels, which is good. reel 3.PNG Modifying the Driver Bit into a Handle Axle so a handle can be fitted at one end and the Driver fitting at the other end, wasn't as easy as I first thought. Denis & Tackleberry would appreciate trying to drill the ha...

Last weekend of trout in the rivers
Got up to Goulburn River for the last weekend of trout season.
Enjoyed some time catching releasing browns and rainbows.
The video here will give you an idea of the clarity of the river.

Fish taken on rapalas, CD5 pattern.

Re: Yarra season close
Thought it was going to a hot day after the action in the first two pools and a number of similar looking pools ahead - but the next few brought nothing, which prompted the change up of lure cycle which felt neverending and non-rewarding with no more trout or indications of interest. So i was doing...
