The Summer so far.........
I had a lot of time on my hands at the end of last year and i ended up honestly having some of the most amazing 4-5 weeks of fishing of my life.
Instead of sitting at home and complaining about how i couldn't fly to France and drink a cocktail in front of some giant iron tree, I packed my calendar with as many local trips as I could imagine.
Local waterways, friends I hadn't visited, old friends that I hadn't managed to catch up with while we were locked-down.
There was way too much action for me to go into detail on every single report, so if this turns into a tourism post, its sort of the month I had.

this should give you an idea of the spread.
Waded around schools of stingrays.
Got my butt handed to me by schools of silver trevally and barnacles.
Saw Cicada's emerge from their long sleep.
Stacked it on skinny rapids mutiple times.
Soaked tailor on beaches after their schoolmates had really worn my tackle box down in the estauries.
Took my boss out fishing for the first time, the squid didn't disappoint.
Visited some legendary LBG spots on the lower NSW coast.
Dipped into the fishing out west.
Insane land based estuary perch action
~20lb carp in a hole close to home
Smuggled myself into the Otways for some stream trout, something I actually enjoyed doing and might do more often.
Weathered a spectacular storm or two.
Basically had a lot of catching up to do. and I wasnt mucking around.
From Bright to Portsea
Warrnambool to Marlo, Eden and beyond. I have been on the prowl.
Fishing was definitely the main agenda, but more than anything else it was great to be free again.
Along the way, i picked up a new PB river yella, Estuary Perch and Murray Cod .
Although the cod did come on bait and I am on the fence about counting that.
Pics to follow
Big thanks to everyone who has been helpful and given me pointers on each location, helped watch the dog while i was gone and generally been chatty on the phone during those longer drives.

I quite legitimately don't know if that's me or not, but if it is you should have come and said hello. What a great spot that is.
Chasing LBG and sharing a love for the Martial Arts, everywhere, all the time.
