You just won lotto, the minister of finance has given you the thumbs up and you start searching for your dream boat.. what would you pick?
Obviously it is impossible to narrow down to one single boat but i have always really liked the Grand Banks 42 Classic trawler style. I remember reading my dads Trader Boat magazine back in the 80's thinking how great it would be to cruise around on one. There are a lot of modern boats around that must have been inspired by the Grand Banks, such as Fleming, Palm Beach or even Dickies from NZ (check these out if you arent aware of them), but i still go back to dreaming of a Grand Banks.

I also waste a lot of time watching sailing videos and my ultimate dream would be to have my own 35 or so foot sailboat and sail to where ever i want. Something like an S&S 34 would do the trick, many circumnavigations have been made in the design. Back to reality and i settled for a Jayco Swan with the misses. So my cruising all happens on land.

Realistically, i am thinking a Surtees 540 Workmate Hardtop, is not out of the question a few years down the track.
