Lesson Learned??

Post by russellh2 » Mon Apr 13, 2020 12:16 pm

Eldest son located in Ipswich - Mate calls him and asks if he wants to go fishing and can he take his (Sons) boat - Son - No. Mate decides to go fishing with 3 other mates in another blokes boat. Trailered boat from Ipswich to port of Brisbane. As they were preparing to launch, water police arrived, result = $1,000 fine each - Hopefully Lesson Learned.

It seem to be his sons mate...it’s people like him that ruin it for everyone else & why they have to put a blanket ban on everything because people can’t be trusted to use common sense

No that's crap mate. They put blanket bans in place because it's easy, and have no basis in science or medicine as to transmitting or catching the virus whilst fishing or hunting. But surfing and driving across the state to your holiday home was OK over Easter. ******* idiots without a clue.

Disagree, as soon as they saying fishing is ok I can guarantee the piers will have people fishing shoulder to shoulder....common sense is a thing of the past unfortunately

Matt, I'm OK with the Gestapo busting them for not keeping their distance rather than fishing. The keeping your distance rules have a basis in science.

Surf fishing could have been exempt IMO, there's a lot of distance between anglers on a beach. just saying.
He who has the most fishing rods WINS ! :ts:
