Fishing rods and the xpt
Sorry if this is in the wrong place mods.
Does anyone know if you can get a allowance for fishing rods on the xpt? wanting to bring my rods down and the site says 70cm long now i will be calling tomorrow to find out for sure i was just wondering if anyone knew now.
From the site: Each item must weigh between 5-20kg and be no larger than 60cm high x 70cm long x 50cm wide. Items weighing less than 5kg cannot be checked in.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Fishing rods and the xpt
any brand suggestions? and defently will be since while 2 peice they werent cheap ones (most expensive rods i have brought to date)
Re: Fishing rods and the xpt
Yeah saph, I'd do LX's suggestion, if you are travelling on the train with them, and by the sounds of their value, sentimentally as well, I'd only trust yourself.
Not sure about brands but a solid easy way would be PVC Plumbing tube, that way it can be exactly to length and not larger or longer than it needs to be. And no need for fancy packing inside, tablecloths as rod wraps should be fine. Other passengers bring guitars and all sorts, so that's what I'd do
If you do do the Bubble Wrap packing option, imagine the de-stressing after with popping the bubbles
If you don't plan on popping the bubbles yourself, can I have first dibs
Cheers Bugatti

well time to check out bunnings then for some pipe, would it be wise to recolor the pipe or just leave it plain white.
