Hey fellas .. ease the break on the young one!!

Well Done kiddo!!!! It is great to see someone (especially a kid) taking the initiative to design AND kick starting his own YouTube channel. Regardless of whether your venture will be a success or failure, i am sure you will gain plenty of good experience and skills that you can apply to other situations later on in your life/career. You deserve a pat on the back for that!!!

With regard to your logos - i much prefer the second one but perhaps you should take out the "FISHING" words located on both sides and make the shadow of the fisher hooking the fish much larger - everyone knows it is fishing related from your entity name "FishOn4Reel". I would also change the background colour to white with the fisher shadow in black and see if it is more pleasant on the eyes.

As to the reason why I am against the 1st logo, it looks way too busy - especially the hexagon box inside a squared shaped coloured box. Why should you have such a small logo of your name and wasted all the space for a blue background? Also, no need to have "Fishing & Angling" at the bottom - they know it all from your name. Btw, my Anglish is not so good but isn't Fishing and Angling sort of the same? Professor Bugatti - i need your help here

Mate dont make them stop doing what you doing.
One day, even when you're famous and all, there'll always be people throwing bad words. I remember Starlo had this happened on his page. Same with Robbie's fishing.
There's always people who trolls and wants to spread hate whatever the topic is.

VooDoo has a good point, a picture of a man fishing kinda gives it away already (and the name).

Have you put a thought of what your videos going to be about?

Keep your logo clear and simple and think about where it will be used.

If it's social/online then it will mostly be used in profile images or thumbnails so it needs to be readable.

Take your new logo - hard to read it in your profile picture and I am guessing it won't be readable in your you tube thumbnails either. I'd consider changing it to something simpler, bolder and easier to read.

i agree with bugatti dont go starting fights with people who u've never met i think you should give him a brake he is new to youtube so just because his logo you think his logo is bad doesn't give you a reason to pick on them

Whilst good spelling is nice, there are some products, that are successful and they are misspelt.

Who knows this young fella might be the next Rex Hunt or so on.

There are two ways of doing this;

1) follow your passion and maybe be successful
2) find out what the audience you wish to target wants, and then deliver.

However, the overriding thing is that this is a learning experience. Learning can be heartbreaking when you don't succeed, but the ones who succeed learn from their learning experiences;

firstly, it hurts, especially personal attacks
Secondly, listen to the critics
Thirdly, then decide do I need to listen to them or ignore them.

Guys like PW and Winga have thousands of harsh critics (I've been known to be one of them :rofl: ) but they are 2 of the most successful and influential anglers from Melbourne, especially Paul. Occasionally Winga gets sucked into YouTube battles with the haters but overall most ignore the outside noise and focus on doing what they do best - fishing.
