Re: Euroa and surrounds fishing reports
so i have been fishing my dam a lot lately with a white curl tail grub, my last one ill need to get some more soon. and i have been getting some good bites some even pull a bit of drag. i have no idea if there is actually any fish in the dam or if its a turtle? maybe just underwater snags?
any way i don't know but hopefully it is a fish or two?

Re: Euroa and surrounds fishing reports
its a large dam, it is near honeysuckle creek and there has been water pumped from the creek into the dam numerus times, so maybe a fish got pumped with all the water. i cant say how old it is, over 20 years at least. how deep it is? i dunno maybe 3 metres at its deepest? im just guessing so it might not be accurate.

Re: Euroa and surrounds fishing reports
hey all
found a stream when looking on google maps today, got there to have a look at about 8:00.
had my handy shimano catana 2-4 kilo with me, had my shimano sienna 2500 reel on it, i have 6 kilo spider wire braid on the reel.
walked downstream flicking a 2.5 white curl tail grub, don't know what size jig head i had on the grub. got a few small trout, saw a school of fish that wasn't trout and looked like either yellas or silvers and finished up by 11:15.
side note, i don't use leaders when i am flicking lures, should i be? i just attach my lure to the main line.
side note 2, i wasn't targeting trout, i was just seeing what was in the stream because i had not fished there before. does trout closed season mean you cant target trout or does it mean you cannot keep them?
also just a little update on the suspected fish in my dam, i fished both lures and bait today, got lots of good hits and some drag pulling today but nothing on the bait, i was using corn for bait. the suspected fish don't come to the surface so i am thinking it could either be yellas, silvers, or maby redfin but probably not. of course it could always just be nothing .
