Been awhile since I’ve put up a report so decided to put one up!
This is a fishing report from a couple of days ago when the missus and I decided to launch and see if some nice pinkies were around.
Launched from st kilda and headed straight towards Ricketts area.
Was an easy drive over and we picked a spot in around 6 metres.
The first spot we only had annoying undersize ones every drop often double headers so moved onto another spot not far away.
This time I managed to get a silver trevally and the missus a nice pan size pinkie so we stayed. Still had to get through a fair few undersize ones but we were managing to also catch some keepers so continued to fish the spot.
I flicked some jigs around for a bit and managed to get 1 squid as well. Then late arvo the bites got full on and we ended up with 13 nice pinkies.
The weather was perfect. By the time we packed up the wind had dropped right down and the ride home was in record time
Was happy to get a nice feed of pinkies
