The Kraken and some more..
First trip post lockdown I decided to chase the krakens.
Took my cousins out as well as none of them have been fishing in a long time, was a very slow day and covered quite a lot of water.
We ended up with 9 with 4 in the low 30s and 5 between 38 and 47 hoods.
I got my PB 47cm hood on the new yamashita neon bright jig in blue. Most others came on a custom pimped out 14T. The nine bright in red also accounted for a few decent squid.
Its been a whike since any of us landed some decent squid, so it was music to my ears hearing the emeraldas screaming!!!!!
Second trip post lockdown I found myself on my own, I usually never fish alone but I decided to take the opportunity and run with it as I had a very busy schedule ahead of me with family commitments..
This was my first trip out on the reds this season and doing it solo was a bit tricky for me.
I marked up some nice fish but they were hard to get going. I eventually managed to get a school fish to take a plastic. Few flathead and some just legal fish made up the rest of the 3 hours I had to fish.
Cheers and tight lines..

Some krakens there
I was wondering about the Yamashia neon, now I know it works!
How you been Steve? Haven't seen you around for a while.

Re: The Kraken and some more..
I fish light for snapper.
My plastics outfit are 2-4kg rod, 2506 reel , 10lb braid 8lb leader
3-6kg heavier rod, 2500 reel, 12lb braid 14lb leader.
This fish came on the lighter outfit with a newer 2508 reel ive recently purchased.
