Is this forum still active?
Hey guys,
Been on this forum Under different names for years.. I haven't been on for a few years now due to life getting in the way of fishing. But doesn't seem to have as many active members or topic's as it used to. Still a great source for historical info and area's that produce land based, but Its a shame as I used to find this a great source of information for what's on the chew and where..

I know I will be more active reporting when the weather stops being freezing cold!

It's a bit slow but there's some good people floating around on here who have plenty of knowledge. Beats wading through the crap you get on some of the Facebook groups.

haha forgot my login details, couldn't even tell you what my last few usernames would've been lol I thought I finally remembered my last handle, went to search for it comes up to an email address that I can't remember the password for.
About to go out and do some spotlighting for gars down Southern Peninsula if I can find a sheltered spot. Seen a video on youtube the other day of some blokes spotlighting for gars. They got about 35 in 40 minutes, looked like a sound theory so hopefully have something to report. Never caught a gar so see how we go.

Yeah, I still think there's a lot more you can get here than those FB pages. Members here are generally passionate about fishing and all that comes with it. Less people, but more quality stuff.
A lot of trollers in FB pages and everything else (sometimes the good but often more bad stuff).

Historically the forum is always quieter in Winter.
Wait for Snapper Season then the warmer weather and it'll start purring along again.

I frequent both fb and this forum, and the difference is that this forum feels more genuine with members that actualy wants to get you onto some solid sessions as opposed to fb there's alot of braggers and flexers who won't even respond to your questions about how and what to use, don't even ask for thier spot x

I'm always giving away spot "X" . Been great weather for fishing here but too darn cold for me. Still the keen are getting swordfish by the dozen. Still KGWs in the lake and pinkies offshore.
The forum is far from dead, just not full of useless fluff.
People help each other out on here.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
