I really really like the specs of that reel.

Also, the line roller is almost universally the first thing to go on pretty much all the reels I haven't just outright broken somehow.

The 5000xg looks utterly perfect for general rock/beach allrounder spin use and a spectacular replacement to the bio 5.

It's the same bloody reel with a different name.... It's pretty much the FL Stradic with lighter materials, the same as the Ci4 variants were to previous model Stradics...

I haven't looked at the specs or anything properly but if this reel is based on the fl I would avoid it for what you do. Have seen some horrible things happen to the fls when put to the test a bit

People who say it’s just a name change need to understand Stradivarius is an iconic name like qantas, vegemite or Holden.

Vanford just doesn’t sound the same.

Not sure how many bearings is too many, but the Vanford has an extra bearing over the Stradic.... (The new improved Saragosa looks good)

220g for a 5000xg is what i liked.

I've got an FL and it's getting the job done, admittedly, in victoria.
