That's an awesome report Stevie. Your skills with a camera rival your skills with your rod.
I absolutely agree about the location being more than just a fishing spot, there is nothing better than getting away from this freezing congested hell hole, open road in front of you, rods loaded and anticipating whatever fish it is you choose to chase.
I really, really should invest in a decent camera and some photo skills.

Those pics of the scrub is that fairly consistent through the whole area? Or is the majority worse?

Nice purp
What system did you fish at? Or a combination of all?
Just finished up 4 days at lake tyres. Didn’t do much fishing but it was a great camping trip.

Re: The Mother Of All Bream Trips!!!
Thanks Guys. Been trying to get in a reply here, but been a bit busy.
While the post here makes it look easy, heres what you didn’t know.
4 out of the 5 days I had little to no sleep, not sure what happened but I just couldn’t have proper rest. Which in turn made fishing the next day very hard.
The day was started late, but also ended late, once we were back fishing I then had to transfer all footage from my cameras and drone which took hours, then prepare the gear for the next day, put all the camera equipment including boat batteries on charge and then have a shower and have some food and try and get some rest. Rinse and repeat for the rest of the days. A lot of effort goes into a trip like this and also in a report thereafter, to get all these pics and videos to do a report takes a lot of effort. But I love doing it and will continue to do so as much as I can.
Also credit for pics with me in it goes to my mate, not me. Unless it was me attempting a selfie with the phone.
While he isn’t the best with a camera its better than nothing.
im not sure then what it is, but lots of the trees were looking nice and green with new growth on the actual trees.
its all about knowing to use the cameras functions, framing the pic right and editing after that makes all the difference.its not rocket science to figure out and im more than happy to help members here with some tips.
i dont use my SLR on fishing trips anymore mainly because those who fish with me have NFI how to use it and i get **** photos from them when they have tried.
phones are best. and added bonus most are waterproof these days.

Dont be fooled by the photos mate, they are all taken with a Galaxy S7 and an Iphone from the same Era.DougieK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:55 amThat's an awesome report Stevie. Your skills with a camera rival your skills with your rod.

Depends on where you went tbh, but id say consistent, some places are just black though. you can see in the background of the big yellow. those trees are all well and truly gone.
We didn't fish all of them, only a select few..

Re: The Mother Of All Bream Trips!!!
Sorry, the leaves contain tannin, because the tree has been on fire
This protects the tree while it trys to recover. When the tree re establishes it's crown, things return to normal.
That's why there are 1,000's of volunteers putting food in the bush for native animals
It's a lot more complicated than this, but, you get the idea

i was talking about the recovery of trees, but i suppose the fauna should also be accounted for.
we seen quite a few deer and kangaroos around at night, i hope they do have enough to eat the poor buggers .
if i knew this earlier i would have put some food in there for them myself.
i know for next time, but lets hope there isnt one tbh.

Great reason for the trip, trip itself and report + added insight to what goes on behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing
