the 3 That were Positive, what if they all travelled to and fro Via Public transport to get to the rally? stopped for coffee along the way and also had a bite to eat at Mcdonalds??

As many protesters got eaten by bears on the way home as contracted Covid 19 at the BLM protest.

They haven't traced a single community transmission back to the protest.

Not one.

Not a single one.

Any sensible person agrees that protesting at this time was an incredibly bad idea, however in this case, the statement that the protest has accelerated the community spread of Covid-19 is absolutely false.

Probably the biggest issue I've noticed from the protests is that it's led to an attitude of "**** it, whatever" and people are ignoring any and all social distancing recommendations in shops etc.

This attitude well and truly existed before the protest.

The evidence from tracing the known cases is clear that the protest did not.

Whilst I am surprised as I expected that they would have caused a spike it cases so far it has no.

And yes police should have fined everyone who was at the protest who failed to socially distance.

Nearly all of them were wearing masks which is thought to have a big impact on reducing the spread of the virus, so I'm not hugely surprised.

If it had turned nasty and people were yelling and getting dragged away by cops it could've been a different story though, which might have been why the police showed a great deal of restraint by their standards.

Most of the current outbreaks have been traced to family and school transmission.
I think only a handful of people (5?) who attended the protests have tested positive, of which none actually contracted the virus from the protest.
The protest was more than three weeks ago now so if there was any actual evidence of an outbreak traced to the protest it would be well and truly evident by now.
