The government is damned if they do and damned if they dont. If they put a complete shut down in place and nothing major eventuates from the virus people will complain that it wasn't necessary to have a complete shutdown with such a devastating economic impact. If they carry on the way they are now and more people get sick they will cop it for not doing enough.

Yes. But they can (and are) printing money to deal with the economic fallout. They can’t bring people back from the dead.

Edit: flatten the curve to allow our medical system the best chance to help society to get through this with minimal suffering and death. Deal with the economic fallout as a separate issue. The first mandate of our government is the protection of its people.

Bang , that was the sound of the state borders closing. eastern states people are not going to Tas, SA, NT. Unless you want to self isolate for 14 days.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Think I might quarantine myself on the Murray river
Chinamans lagoon at Cobrawonga is looking good
I'll let you know, if I'm allowed.
A few snags & curried/garlic carp will keep me going
YES I want to
