Re: A few more Estuary Perch from the fresh in Werribee
This stocking program has been a great achievement by fisheries and great for the western suburbs.
Would I travel to fish there no but if it’s on my doorstep yes I would.

A Great expert that once had a fishing tackle shop in Wyndham once told me that the Werribee river is one of the most extraordinary rivers in Victoria,he was not wrong. I have even caught Rainbow trout somewhere between Werribee and Melton.

How do you work your plastic?
Hit the bottom and hop hop pause? Or steady retrieve mid water?

I fish it about a meter under the surface, slow roll, the slower the better. Casting parallel to the bank where possible, not much point casting out to the middle unless you know there are snags below. I only let the plastic sink to the bottom once the water starts to cool down in the cooler months.Seb85 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 8:16 pmHow do you work your plastic?
