Finally, a great Ting session. A quick report.
Thanks to Cheaterparts, now I have a trailer to carry two kayaks easily.
Without much prep snd full of excitement, yesterday my mate and I went to look for KGW.
Launched off coronet bay reserve 7am. And straight away onto them in 3m.
Caught about a dozen ting, took 8 home amongst us. Also caught and released other species. Biggest ting 38cm.
Saw an eagle ray that I thought was a strange looking rock, til it moved and swam away, scared me, nearly jump off of my kayak. LoL.

Thanks.
Missus is happy.
Got a bit windy and had to go back to the beach on low tide. Pretty exhausting dragging the kayak on the sand. Need beach wheel.
Great morning overall.

wasn't a bad day out --- We met team Seb at the car park I'd been out since first light looking for squidly doodles with out any luck and headed in when my partners in crime turned up ( leejo and Mal ) and waited for them to gear up
after saying hello to Seb we headed around the corner to the left of Coronet bays ramp for a few ting before the tide ran down - then a quick move out to about 5.5 meters with some gummy baits for a couple of hours before heading back onto whiting grounds to finish the day
I took home 10 ting from 32 to 42 cm and lost count on returned fish under 32 cm also a nice flatty and a couple of yellow eye mullet one kept for bait for maybe a new years eve night season ( cant think of a better way to see in the new year )
both leejo and Mal got a good feed as well -

Re: Finally, a great Ting session. A quick report.
Thanks Adrian.
For a second I thought it was an aussue salmon, fought like it.
Summer gives so much options here in Vic. Most of saltwater fish are active and feeding, also the aussie natives like cod and yellowbelly. On a warm muggy evening, trout on dry fly can be sensational.
How's TAS fishing? Getting closer to the target number?

I bet you can wade it a bit and cast into the sand holes.
