GoFish Nagambie!
Re: GoFish Nagambie!
Before anyone looks at my reply and rolls their eyes It is me after-all, yes it is long (post that is). BUT I kept it under a zillion words , , , , that has to get me some courtesy
"Was a good day" as Jocular Jim said, and of course you get a preceding adjective, they are given and not self-claimed, so I got in before anyone else did. Anyway, with the Cod Crowd it always seems to be good days, s most of the threads they put up are.
Must be the Free Supplied Air , , , , just confirms fresh air is good for you , , , , unlike salty air.
Great to see you guys are having an awesome time.
Good luck to the Forum members. I'm hoping Mad Matari can become Marvellous Matari AND $80,000 richer.
On the $80,000 first prize

But I think a few other members have the same idea

Scenery , , , , nothing like wholesome country scenery :thumbsup:April Fool wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 11:56 amWas a good day yesterday catching up with Dangerous Dave, Badarse Brett, Mad Matari and Jovial Johhny! It was by chance that I went...thanks to a text the previous day from one of my fellow Sheppartonians who gave me a lift. With hindsight I would have liked to spend some more time looking around. I left the lure maker stalls til last when I didn't have much time left. I should have went there first. After discussions at the Kuttafurra tent it was determined that I am a lure gatherer rather than a collector.
Assuming it runs next year I may even enter. Will be talking to the guys who attended this year to check the feasibility of fishing from the bank. What did this years entrants think of the event? Also, I would appreciate it if someone could post an update of the leading fish.
Cheers

That's going to be hard to top. You'd think it would make top 3 at least.
Best freshwater triumph of mine is a tadpole , , , , a real tadpole, taken with a Cottee's Jam Jar (with Ninja like speed) when I was Huckleberry Finning as a young lad.
What was last years winning Cod?

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: GoFish Nagambie!
Wow and wow, Jim
Just Googled Nagambie Fishing Comp , , , , it's not a Comp , , , , it's a Big Festival and with half a million dollars in prize money. Mate it seems bigger than Ben Hur. Even though I don't travel in Freshwater Fishing circles, I haven't heard of it till it was mentioned on this Forum.
Might be because the site said the entries and boat entries were going to be capped at a certain amount.
Absolutely blown away on how Victoria treats their Recreational Fishing and their Fishos , , , , you guys are quite fortunate.
