Ripper Gummy. WP Report 18/10/2018
Yep... another report, lol.
Back at it again, my day started down at Yaringa at 7am. I headed out the channel and the aim was to gather enough bait for an overnight session. Although the Squid were tough, the Trevally made up for it, theres no better bait than them for Gumbos. Burleyed up hard along the edge with the ebb tide, managed 6 nice Trevs and stacks of Yakka's. Left them biting and went to try for Squid again. No luck.
Motored back in by 2pm, put all the fish on Ice in the esky, and went home. Only had 2 hours inbetween that and work. Worked from 5pm-10pm, (luckily im surrounded by fishing gear every shift... )
Left BCF straight away and rocketed back up to Yaringa where my mate, Josh, was meeting me. I had been eyeing off this tide for a few days now, nice 2m tide, prefect for the area i fish. The only downside was i'd never had much success at night on the mark & the sea lice were usually always so very thick. Well.. we certainly had the fishing gods on our side again, no sea lice to be seen & so much activity. First 20 minutes of rods in we had already encountered: 2 Eagle Rays, 1 small gummy and some other sh!t fish. Things were really looking up, and although by now it was 2am, i wasn't tired at all. The tide change was 1:15am, and to my surprise a rod buckled and screamed.. in SLACK water. As soon as it buckled i picked it for a Gummy. Sure enough i wasn't wrong, as she cruised to the surface Josh couldnt believe it. a PB for him. Not quite for me, but its a cracking fish regardless and not sleeping for over 24 hours was certainly worth it. 9.3kg & 136cm. Not too shabby :a_goodjob:
I apologise if this sounds rushed, i've only just woken up...
Cheers guys.

Once again, awesome catch mate!
Lol I would be wrecked staying up for that long. Definitely couldn't collect bait before work, then go fishing straight after. **** that!
You don't have a cab/beds on your tub either do you?
