Solid fish, good work, what rod is that? cheers davo :nicefish:
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

[quote="blacklab99"]Great catch dezza,
Never targeted bream before, caught a few as a by catch, but on light gear I can see the attraction with a stonker like that !
So whats the average size that your catching and what size can they be caught at ? 50cm by the sounds of, sounds like it's getting up there for them ?
Thats the biggest one I have seen, a 30cm one is more normal but I have now had 4 over 40 from there.

Re: New PB (I Think)
Thats a Shakeaspeare Slingshot 7ft travel rod, not a bream stick by any means but it does the trick.davek wrote:Solid fish, good work, what rod is that? cheers davo :nicefish:

That's a massive bream, well done. Just some advice, don't let your reel touch the sand too much as it tends to get into the gears

Good day Dezza,
If you didn't want to take it home and measure it, why didn't you just run out a length of line, cut it to exact fish length and measure the line when you got home? Or have I missed something ?

Re: New PB (I Think)
That fish is probably as old as me so didn't want it out of the water for long. I put it up against the rod so I have a pretty good idea on length but the main thing is it went back to keep growing.colnick wrote:Good day Dezza,

Re: New PB (I Think)
There's some absolute stonkers in there. Seen 1 in a group of 5 that made the rest look tiny, and the others were all close to or over 40cm where the old pipeline used to cross over the creek. Still to this day I've never pulled a fish off that tree in over a decade of fishing there... Anyway great fish it's good to see. Did the entrance pop open yet?
