Weekend report
Headed out from stony point this morning, crap swell slowed it down, even the coast guard slowed up quickly when some big sets came thru.
Tried a few spots for some yakkas to hit up seal rock for a kingy or three, no luck on fresh bait. Went with the frozen option - didn’t entice any, trolled lures with succes.
Saw some salmon & birds busting up & rhrought they would provide some entertainment. Landed 7, smoked by another 5. Fat buggers with some awesome power. Kept the young bloke busy.
Headed offshore for a mako until the wind blew too hard, back to the salmon for another crack to get a couple more.
Great day out.

Re: Weekend report
Its funny, we all want a nice calm day to get dow there and fish... but when it does flatten off and a million biats hit the same area the fish go off the bite...
If i went fiahen for kingies and ended up with salmon like that as a consolation prize i would be pretty bloody happy. Nice fish
As a matter of interest where do you launch to get out there? Cat bay?
