Thinking of heading to brighton pier this weekend with the old man, do you guys have any idea whats biting right now and what rigs to bring?

Cheers

It has been really quiet with the occasional pinky and Flathead. If you will fish the breakwall bring the surf rods with a running sinker. If you are fishing inside the marina, use soft plastics.
Let us know how you go

Either running or paganoster rig
Pilchard or squid rigs for big bait and pippies and squid strip for small bait

I usually use 2 rods one with a running sinker and 1 with paternoster. Good luck and let us know how you go
