I have a hook 7. Would my existing plugs/cables and transducer fit this model, simply so I can just switch it over, plug it in, without the need to re-wire

why are you going backwards??
the elite 7 is an older model to the Hook7.
dont confuse the elite 7 for the newer Elite TI 7 models, they are very different units.

but yes the transducer will be similar for both and power cord will also be similar. so should swap over, but ive seen different plugs before on similar units, so need to see them to confirm 100%
