just put the rod in a rod holder and step on the braid with a little tension and away you go easy as at home or in the boat

I don't do the half hitches over the braided line. Only over the leader and braid. Is there a reason why you do it like this?

Re: Why does my broad keep breaking at the leader knot?
Creates a small ramp so the leader end does not catch. But most importantly it just locks off the braid tag end so it doesn't unravel and ruin the knot.

I've never tied it with the half hitches along the braid and i've never had one come lose. I've noticed only in the newer fg knot videos guys doing it. It was never like that when i started using it years back.Tackleberry wrote:and it's the right way to tie it
