If you can find a friendly farmer to let you in there are some good holes along Jackson's Creek above Sunbury and there is always a chance of a decent Brown. My best trout from that area was nearly 2 kg but that was some time back. How it fishes lately is anyone's guess.

I fished deep creek north of bulla road today, using hard bodies. Didn't get and reddies and the water was very shallow but it was a nice spot for a walk along/across the creek.

Fly fishing may have worked there. Also using small spinners in shallow streams seems to work as well.
