Fresh water is brushwacker fishing mate, there are only after cod, yellas, EP and trout. They always complain about carp but not do something about it. Like catch them and do whatever to kill it, before our brushwacker government put herpes into Murray river and dry it up. Mate.

Salt is my style since fresh here its mostly dams or rivers plus i dont like having to retreve and recast all the time with lures in fresh water salt i can throw some bait out and relax till a fish takes the bait. Plus cant beat swimming in salt on a hot summer day while fishing.

Having fished mostly freshwater when I first arrived in Australia 37 years ago, then switched to saltwater 25 years ago. I can remember lots of doughnuts in fresh never not caught a fish when out in my boat.
I have caught trout on fly bait and lures but nothing compares to catching a marlin holding it by the bill then releasing it, seeing these magnificent creatures all lit up feeding is a privilege.
