I have never tried Yucatan knot. I shall try.

Seems like majority agrees that FG is the best and thinnest.
I still can't get over the fact that if I don't do the FG properly (not tight enough), the leader can slip. Happened once and traumatic.

Yucatan is fairly weak unless you double the braid.

Improved Albright is the second thinnest and second strongest if the FG is perfect.

The most important consideration is how well you can tie the knot. No point using a brilliant knot if you cant tie it well.
