least you didn't return it to the water, i seen a lot of people doing that lately.

i am yet to catch a redfin, and when i do i will most certainly be cooking it as i have heard they taste great.

i dont exactly like this guy cos he throws pest species like carp and redfin back but this has some good info for you purple5ive

Alan is actually a nice guy, met him in person couple times.
Fyi, it is illegal to put carp back into the water, especially alive. You gotta kill and dispose it properly.
But with redfin, although also a pest, it is not illegal to put it back to the water alive (same water location). Unless the rules changed recently.
