how would i go about targeting flat head at port albert?
how would i go about targeting flat head at port albert?
My first tip is to make sure your bait is on the bottom. Caught many 1kg+ flathead from the jetty there next to the fish co-op when I used to go there as a child on school holidays.
Nothing fancy, running sinker rig with a 2/0-4/0 hook with pilchard with a 40-60cm leader from swivel to hook.
The ride does run so you will have to cast and recheck your bait every so often.
