Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if rock flathead is actually any better on the chew than regular flathead.
Is it worth targeting this species if that’s at all possible??

Re: Rock Flathead
Have never caught one but heard they’re better than sand, yank and tiger flathead. Think some of the high end restaurants sell rock flathead.
If you want to catch them regularly, your best chance is to spear them. Using lures will also increase your chances.
Last one I saw caught was at Mornington pier by a lady using a squid jig on a drop shot rig last year.
