All depends what the club wants to do.

Clubs are good if its a good genuine one, a few ive seen seem to be a disguise for a pissup party from what I've seen.
For any game fishing scenario I would expect game fishing clubs would have periodically calibrated scales and approved weighmasters. The companies doing the calibrations would have to have industry recognized certification. Would be no LIVE weigh ins...

The Pirtek model is a good one for fun comps.
