The jig head is weighted to sit on the bottom allowing the “bait” (soft plastic) to wriggle vertically.
Yep… and that’s why I posted. Most ‘ordinary’ jig heads are weighted forward and If its’s sitting on the bottom with a buoyant plastic, why wouldn’t it have the same impact as special NED jighead.

They're much better when using creature baits like yabbies because it makes them stand upright in a defensive position.
