Running out of berley

Post by Nude up » Tue Mar 15, 2022 6:51 pm

After a few trips my berley stocks were running low. I had to go into geelong today so I visited a stock feed joint and got myself 20 kg of pellets for whiting and 20 kg for deeper water total cost $43 bagged it up ready.
Put a couple in the boat the rest in a container so mice or the dogs can't get at it.

What type of feed is it? Chicken & Sheep pellets?

Cheaper than the usual fish burley.
Do they work just as good as those tuna oil burley from tackle shops?

I imagine you mix in some tuna oil to spice them up
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

Spot on mix tuna oil or chopped pilchards ,black and gold tuna for cats is the blood line great berley or ground salmon.
Except for whiting we just check the pellets out nothing else tends to not bring in the crap fish
