What's your opinion of this rod?

Post by Kestrel » Sat Mar 06, 2021 6:41 pm

I came across this rod in Anaconda today

Clearly it would work well for bream, but I reckon it would also suit whiting, calamari and a bunch of freshwater species as well.

It's the Atomic Arrowz Bream Crank AAS-70BC Spin 2pc 7' 1-5lb, retailing for around $120.

What's your opinion?

The bream crank has a fairly slow taper. Designed for rolling cranks for yellowfin bream. If you're looking for an allrounder or plastics outfit I would look towards the lightest of the estuary series they do or the bream surface.

The rods themselves are pretty good value, Fuji components on a majorcraft blank

Why do you think your Atomic Estuary would be no good for squid? Too stiff?
