Earth worms to saltwater worms

Has anybody tried this?
An old guy many years ago i knew used to breed earth worms and then used to put Iodine thru the ground,He recons it made the worms taste like sea weed to Ting,He said he wouldn't use any other bait for Ting

I reckon iodine would kill them plus I didn't know ting ate seaweed. I have used live tube worm and bloodworm and they would'nt even look at it

I've caught Whiting on soft plastic sandworm just threaded on to a hook as if i was bait fishing

I've heard of earth worms used in salt water
But I can't remember what they were targeting

They die pretty quickly in the salt, I've used them in brackish water for Bream.

I used earth worms at Flinders pier when the pier use to go to the left at the end before that section was removed, fishing in that corner on the inside of the intersection where it branched off to the left I caught many grass whiting, never caught KG whiting though. This was a long time ago.

Ive used earthworms in salt water before and actualy caught bream, flathead, baytrout mullet and king georges on them. This was at barwonheads too out near the mouth. Only used them because the bloke next to me went home and donated a whole icecream tub full of them, says he farms them. The worms tend to go slimey and shrink a bit after 20 mins soaking in the water but usualy i get bites within 5 mins of it being in the water. Great bait to my surprise :a_goodjob:
