Fishing Port Albert in a boat

Post by PhilN » Fri Jan 28, 2022 4:37 pm

Hi all,

Might be going down Port Albert way next week - never been there before. Thinking about bringing the boat. Forecast has some decent SW->S winds. Looking at the charts, it seems like its mostly channels and I should be able to find a fairly sheltered place to fish regardless of the wind or wind direction, and if I get wind/tidal flow right should be pretty calm.

Am I right? (Or seriously wrong...:-)

thanks in advance

Take the bushman with you! Last time I was there, the midge’s ate me alive. Went out for a quick fish at night on the piers and in a couple of minutes any skin that was exposed had bites covering the surface.

Good luck mate!
