I agree, I fish 40lb in the same structures...my PB was four bust offs in a row. At least in your Native you can back out of trouble, not so easy close-quarter combat in a Hobie.

I dont fish the areas you guys fish, it will be game over and over again if I go in with this gear hahaha.
I dont think ill never fish 40lb for snapper on lures. 14 is max I'd be going where I'm fishing. Nothing to bust me off expect those sharp teeth..

Even in your areas I fish 20lb. But as you say "I dont think ill never" then you may one day

Hahahah .. was meant to say ever not never.
I dont own 20lb FC leaders. Might have to invest in some as a just in case..
