Ray's Outdoors starting to stock decent gear?

Post by Rod Bender » Mon May 13, 2013 8:37 pm

There was a time when I did the majority of my tackle shopping at Ray's. Then they stopped stocking the 'name brands' and went for their own brand. Then I stopped shopping there. I would still go there for the occasional items. I have noticed the store in
Shepparton is starting to stock some of the name brands again. Shimano T-Curves rods, AC Invader lures amongst other things. One of the employees there said they are going back to better quality gear. It can be handy when they have their 25% off sales :D
thanks

I buy alot of my stuff from Ray's, they have a good range of hardbodies, braid and mono and I always seem to get a discount on things I buy from there. I like their cheap spinners also, at $4.50 they seem to work well. They always seem to have specials as well and with Anaconda now open down the road I can price match with them.

I use to shop at Ray's, then they stopped having sales and bought in their own junk and only had sales on their own brand. Also, does the membership cards at rays and Anaconda get you any discount??

RACV members also get 6.5% off at Rays.

Bearing in mind Rays is owned by BCF/Supercheap and you don't get a discount at either of them :(

I was in there again today and they certainly are restocking. I just go in there to see a mate. It may have been the first place I noticed Blue Fox Vibrax spinners! Then they stopped stocking them. Now they are back. From memory the smaller size was $4.50 which isn't bad for a retail outlet. They still have the 25% off sales so that is when I go.
thanks

Thanks mate, must remember to use my RACV next time. I wonder how will the RACV discount go if using in an interstate store?
