Can anyone suggest why 1 rod would be better than another .. Or would these 3 come down to personal preference ?

Get a shimano ballistix, Graphite blanks instead of graphite composite!

That's what i got on the recommendation of the local tackle shop guy and it's pretty bloody good throwing out anything from 30-60g.
Wanted to get a 9' catana, but he seemed like he knew what he was talking about + I'm new to spinning in the surf, so I got a 10'6".... and it's great for baiting as well.

Got a site selling these, I can't find much at all ..

Price would be a factor too ..

Your 10 foot catana can throw lures 15g to 80g so shouldn't be a problem for adjoining in the surf.
