Hello,
I am just wondering what technique you use for fishing on a pier with soft plastics?

Re: Pier fishing with soft plastics
Depends what you target, but generally i use 7ft to 8ft rod, 2-4kg.
And 2500 reel with 10lb braid and 10lb fluorocarbon leader line.
Casting 1/8 #1/0 jighead.
Cast as far as you can. If its bottom fish you're targeting, then let it sit on the bottom. Like 10 seconds or something. Then twitch twitch, wind the slack line and wait again. Repeat.
This time of year usually there's aussie salmon around and they like to chase. Cast, let it hit the bottom then constant retrieve.
Few YouTube videos to watch, but not all of them are educational.
