Blade lures?

Just wondering if anyone in victoria uses blade style lures and what your thoughts are on them basicly.

Currently using plastics only so looking to expand if i can.

I have had success jigging these vertically from the kayak, when fishing for Redfin. They’re good for getting down deep to schools, and beside structure. I’ve never fished them using a cast and retrieve technique though.

Yes I use that blade. TT switch blade and Ecogear VX are my two favourites. Use them for bottom fishing. Jigging for reddies like Tim said.
Also for pinkie and flathead. On boat/kayak, leaving the rod on the rod holder works too, the up and down swell movements make it like bottom jigging and will catch pinkie/flatty.
Also for bream in winter.

This is my favourite of here in East Gippsland works at treat especially this time of year .
