I look forward to snapping the tip of a micro guided rod using that as the tag end smashes into it...

I use a double uni for tying fluro leaders to braid and mono. Its a little bit tricky with the braid, but at least i can remember how to tie it correctly when im out on the water.

Try this one.
This is how I learnt to do recently and I dont think it can be made any easier. I use a few different methods depending on what I'm doing, but this looks like its the easiest method to tie an FG

might have to try this - normally I tie a loop in the braid and clip that off with a rod in a forward rod holder on the kayak ( clipping the loop to a clip on my seat ) this holds tension and gives 2 free hands to tie the FG

I would try some others, the uni knot is easy to tie but one of the weakest.

I think almost everyone started with that knot when joining a braid to leader.
Over time you tend to find more suitable ones that your comfortable with.
I always recommend the double uni to people starting out as its quite simple to learn and put to use.
In sayinv that my cousin still struggles with it, but that's pure laziness because one of the others always ties the knot for him when needed.....

Yep.

Uni knot is super easy to tie and a well tied knot like the uni knot is better than a poorly tied GT, FG, etc.
